About IMOGA
With 50 years of experience, we offer trust within art
Since the 1970’s, Prof. Suleyman Saim Tekcan had a pioneering role in envisioning art with an innovative and educational focus. With this focus in mind, he founded the Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts (IMOGA), now home to thousands of nationally and internationally renowned works of art.
These pieces of artwork are a cumulative collection developed and created by various famous and talented artists from Turkey throughout the world, spanning the past 50 years.
Printmaking, what is now seen as the future of art collection, is a discipline where a painter works on the art piece with full control, produces only a limited quantity, and numbers and signs each art piece individually. Each art piece created is therefore a completely unique artwork that is precious and extremely rare.
To be able to access and acquire an art piece that is produced through printmaking from an internationally recognized artist is a feat many art collectors find truly appealing.
As Imogastore, we provide you the peace of mind offered by IMOGA and our very own, exclusive printmaking collection. This is what we refer to as IMOGA Trust.
What is IMOGA Trust?
- IMOGA provides the ability to access its entire printmaking inventory in Turkey, providing art lovers boundless options to discover the artwork they truly seek.
- IMOGA maintains the protection of rights, both of the artist and of the art collector, as a foundational principle.
- Every art piece offered for consideration to be included in the collection is critically assessed by IMOGA experts to determine the competence of each piece in fulfilling rigorous standards of uniqueness and production quality. Only
art pieces that are deemed to meet the highest standards established in this regard are given an individual certificate within the IMOGA collection.
- Due to its inherent nature, Printmaking requires special methods and has specific environmental requirements to ensure safe and secure storing. To achieve the highest standard, IMOGA prioritizes longevity and durability while selecting every component for the completion of the artwork.
- When an artist signs an artwork within the IMOGA collection, they acknowledge that their professionalism and attention to detail must not only be reflected in their created artwork, but also in the destruction of the tools of creation – such as molds used – to ensure that the artwork can never be copied or replicated.
- Every artwork that is acquired through IMOGA comes with a full refund guarantee, the art piece’s individual authenticity approval, and the artists explanation of the art piece.
- IMOGA carefully and thoroughly packages each art piece and works closely with delivery services to ensure safe delivery of the artwork.

Our Collection
IMOGA is one of the very few museums in the world defined exclusively by its print collection. It is possible for the viewer to see almost all traditional (Surface, Relief, Intaglio, Stencil) and contemporary (Fine Art Print) printing techniques in IMOGA’s collection. In addition to these known printing techniques, IMOGA’s collection also houses the printed works produced with Süleyman Saim Tekcan's special technique, which is known by his name all over the world. This unique printing method, in which Tekcan uses a combination of Template Printing and a Wet Printing technique developed using oil-based inks, is called the "Tekcan Printing Technique".
IMOGA's collection is a very special one that includes works produced with innovative printing techniques within the traditional. There are approximately 10 thousand different works in IMOGA’s collection. IMOGASTORE has started its activities to present some of these precious works to the appreciation and purchase of collectors.
